Kielbasa with Cabbage and Bacon - Recipe

Quick meal that will please everyone. Serve over buttered noodles.

  • In a large skillet, fry bacon over medium high heat until browned, stirring often. Remove bacon from pan and place on paper towels. Leave the drippings in the pan.
  • Add onions to the pan and cook until softened. Add sugar, garlic, seasonings and cabbage; stir. Cover, and cook over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Add kielbasa to the pan. Cook, covered, for an additional 10 to 15 minutes. Crumble bacon over top, and serve hot.

-1 onion , chopped
-2 tablespoons sugar
-2 cloves garlic - minced
-1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
-1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt
-1/2 head cabbage , shredded
-1 pound Polish kielbasa, sliced and halved
