Directions
Preheat the oven to 350°. Line a 9 x 13-inch pan. Combine the first 4 ingredients. Cream the butter and the sugars until they are light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the flour mixture. Add the dates and walnuts. Pour the prepared batter into the pan and bake for about 30-40 minutes. Check for doneness. Let cool on a wire rack.
