Directions
Thoroughly mix sugar and corn syrup in a 4 cup microwave safe glass measure. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave on high for 3 minutes 10 seconds. Remove from microwave and carefully remove the plastic wrap. Quickly stir the mixture and cover with a new piece of plastic wrap. Microwave on high for 3 minutes 15 seconds. Remove from microwave, carefully remove the plastic wrap and stir. After the boiling has ceased, stir in the food coloring (to desired color) and then add the flavoring. pour into lightly greased jellyroll pan or hard candy molds. Let candy cool until hardened. Do Not put the cooling candy in the fridge. When cool break into pieces with the handle of a butter knife (if using pan). dust with powdered sugar to keep candy from sticking. Store in airtight container, cookie tins or candy jar. Mix different flavors and colors for stained glass effect.
