Sweet and Sour Glazed Brussels Sprouts - Recipe

Directions
  • Place rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 400°.
  • In a small microwave safe bowl, melt butter and sugar together in a microwave. (45 seconds)
  • Toss prepared Brussels sprouts and onions on a baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle with olive oil.
  • Pour butter and sugar mixture over the Brussels sprouts and onions.
  • Pour vinegar over brussels and onions.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Toss altogether on the baking sheet.
  • Roast until golden brown, approximately 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve hot.

-4 tablespoons unsalted butter
-2 tablespoons brown sugar
-2 pounds Brussels sprouts trimmed and cut in half
-2 medium onions - peeled and sliced into 1/8's, or 12 small shallots - halved lengthwise
-1 tablespoon cider vinegar
- salt and pepper to taste
