Pineapple-Orange Tea Recipe

Directions
  • In a large pot, bring 1 gallon of water to a boil (reserve 2¼ cups water). Add tea bags and remove from heat. Allow to steep for 3-4 minutes.
  • In a separate pan, combine sugar and 2¼ cups water. Bring sugar and water mixture to a boil. Add cloves and boil an additional 10-15 minutes, constantly stirring until mixture is syrupy.
  • Add syrup mixture to steeped tea. Mix in pineapple and orange juice. Strain tea and store in a refrigerator a minimum of 5 hours.
  • This tea can be served hot or cold, garnish with orange slices. Tea will keep in the refrigerator up to 1 week.

- 9 tea bags, family size
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 tablespoon whole cloves
- 1 can pineapple juice (46 ounce)
- 1 can orange juice (46 ounce)
