Heat oven to 375°. Combine the sugar and the pepper. Lay each strip of bacon on top of crescent dough and cut dough to length and width of bacon. Press both sides into sugar and pepper mix. Twist once and lay on cookie sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes until golden.
