Peach Chutney Recipe

A sweet and sour blend that complements most meats.
Directions
  • Combine all ingredients in a heavy 2 quart sauce pan. Bring to a full boil, then turn down heat and simmer for 45-50 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
  • Cool completely. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours before serving. Makes about 1 1/2 to 2 cups.

Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh or frozen sliced peaches
- 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup dark raisins
- 1/4 cup golden raisins
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
- 1/4 cup onion, diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground ginger root
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
salt to taste
