Sherry marinade Shrimp

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons kosher salt
- 3 cups hot water
- 1/4 cup sherry
- 2 pounds very large shrimp or prawns
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes 
 
Extra large shrimp marinaded in a brown sugar,salt and sherry marinade and cooked on skewers
 
Directions
Combine brown sugar, kosher salt, 3 cups water on stove and bring to boil so that salt and sugar
go into solution. Remove from heat, whisk in sherry, and red pepper flakes.

Pour over shelled
and deveined prawns/shrimp place in bowl and refrigerate for at one hour. Remove from marinade
place on skewers being careful to crows the shrimp so hey do not dry out. Cook over high heat on
grill for about 1 minute per side. Serve with rice or a salad.
