With the great taste of a seasoned ground pork and turkey mixture grilled to perfection and topped with cheese and a flavorful chipotle mayonnaise, these aren’t your typical spicy burgers—a delicious alternative to the usual ground beef hamburgers.
Mexi Burgers Recipe (+)
Directions
Mix all burger ingredients together (except optional cheese).
Divide into 8 equal portions and shape into patties.
Heat grill to medium high. Oil grates.
Place patties on grill. Cover grill and cook until centers are no longer pink.
Optional: Place a slice of cheese on top of each patty when close to being done.
Serve with chipotle mayonnaise and grilled onions.
Chipotle Mayo: Combine all ingredients. Keep refrigerated until ready to use.

BURGERS

2 pounds ground pork

1 pound ground turkey

2 tablespoons chili powder
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
2 teaspoons oregano - dried
-
2 teaspoons ground cumin
Optional: Sliced cheese, such as Pepper Jack, Cheddar, or American
CHIPOTLE MAYO
-
1 cup mayonnaise - regular, no fat or low fat
-
2 teaspoons minced canned chipotles in adobo sauce (adjust to amount of heat wanted)
-
1 tablespoon adobo sauce from can
-
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
season with a little salt

"Good flavor in the burgers. I used pepper jack cheese with it. I thought the Chipotle mayo was a little too spicy, but will make again with less of the chipotles."
