Directions

1

  • Cream the butter and powdered sugar together until fluffy.
  • Add the milk and vanilla. Beat until blended.
  • Whisk the flour and salt together in another bowl and then gradually mix into the creamed
    mixture.
  • After all of the flour and salt has been mixed in, divide the dough into 24 pieces. First divide
the dough into even quarters. Roll each quarter into a log shape and then cut each log into 6 even
pieces. Roll the pieces into balls.
  • Flatten each ball and wrapped around a cherry. Roll back into a ball shape and place on an
    ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350°F for approximately 18 minutes or until the bottom edge is just beginning to
    brown.
  • Remove from the oven, allow them to cool for about 5 minutes on the cookie sheet and then roll
them in powdered sugar to coat evenly. Place on a wire rack to cool.
  • GLAZE:

    • After the cookies are cooled combine all the ingredients for the glaze and stir with a fork
      until smooth.
    • Place the glaze in a small bag, clip one corner of the bag, and then drizzle the glaze over
      the cookies.
