Baked Macaroni and Cheese

- 12 ounces elbow macaroni
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups cheddar cheese
- salt & pepper, to taste
- 1 dash hot sauce (optional)
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF. Butter 2 quart casserole dish.

  • Cook macaroni according to directions on package. Drain and set aside.

  • Melt butter in sauce pan. Add flour and stir until smooth, cooking 1 minute more. Add milk and

stir until thick and bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese and seasonings until melted.
  • Pour
    into casserole dish. Bake for 20 minutes. Top with parmesan cheese and bake for 10 minutes more.
