Ingredients - 1 pound Italian sausage - 6 eggs - 2 packages spinach - thawed, drained and chopped - 2 cups mozzarella cheese - shredded - 2/3 cup ricotta cheese - 1/2 teaspoon salt - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon pepper - pastry for a two crust pie - 1 tablespoon water A hearty breakfast recipe that can also be adapted for a dinner recipe. Directions
- Brown and crumble the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat.
Drain off fat.
Separate on of the eggs and set the yolk aside.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and the egg white. Stir in the spinach, mozzarella, ricotta and seasonings.
