Ingredients - 1 quart fresh strawberries, hulled and coarsely chopped - 8 cups rhubarb, chopped into small pieces - 1/4 cup water - more if needed - 1 cup sugar - or to taste - 3 drops red food coloring optional - more if desired The tart flavors of the rhubarb are complemented nicely with the sweet flavor of the strawberries - it is a delicious combination. Directions
Wash rhubarb stalks to clean thoroughly. Chop stalks into small pieces.
Wash strawberries. Remove stem and chop into pieces.
Add rhubarb to large sauce pan and pour in water. Cook over medium high heat until water begins
