Coconut Chocolate Macaroons Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 15 minutes Servings: 10

Ingredients - 2 egg whites - 3 cups sweetened shredded coconut - 1/4 cup sugar - 1/8 teaspoon almond extract - 1 pinch salt - 1/2 cup chocolate chips - 1/2 cup sliced almonds (optional) These shaggy cookies are quick, easy and absolutely delicious. Directions
- Preheat oven to 350. Cut a piece of parchment paper or aluminum foil to fit baking sheet
(parchment paper works better).
Mix all ingredients together. Make mounds of batter about 1 inch apart, with about 2 tablespoonfuls in each mound.
Bake until light golden brown, about 15 minutes. Let sit on pan to firm up for a minute or two, then remove to a cooling rack.
