Light and easy spread for the Holidays or any special occasion.
Goat Cheese and Shallot Toasts Recipe (+)
Directions
Cut baguette on the diagonal 1/4 inch thick.
Lay in single layer on a baking sheet.
Bake until golden, approximately 15 minutes, flip and bake 10 more minutes. Set aside.
Place goat cheese in mixing bowl, mash with a fork.
Add 1 tablespoon of cream at a time until you have a soft consistency spread.
Mix in salt, shallot and 1 tablespoon of capers.
When ready to serve, spread cheese mixture on each baguette toast and top with a light sprinkle of capers.
Serve at room temperature.
Spread may be made up to three days in advance. Keep covered in the refrigerator.
Store baguettes in an airtight containter until ready to use.
