Ingredients - 1 pound lard - 1 egg - 1/2 cup flour - 1 tablespoon sugar - 1/2 teaspoon salt - 1/2 cup milk at room temperature - 1 tablespoon salad oil A crispy Scandinavian pastry that can be made for Christmas celebrations or anytime this delightful sweet treat is desired. Directions
- Heat lard to 400° in a large saucepan.
In a mixing bowl, beat the egg slightly.
Add the remaining ingredients to the egg and beat until smooth.
Heat the rosette iron in the hot lard.
