Cherry Cobbler Recipe

A country classic.
Directions
  • Preheat oven to 350° F. 
  • Place butter in a 9'  x 13" baking dish and place in the oven to melt while the oven preheats. Remove when melted.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of sugar and baking powder. Mix in milk until well blended.
  • Pour batter into the buttered pan. Do not stir.
  • Place cherries in a medium bowl and toss with 3/4 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon flour. Distribute cherries evenly over batter. Do not stir.
  • Bake 50-60 minutes or until golden brown.
