Apricot Orange Ham Glaze

Ingredients
- 16 ounces apricots - canned, drain and reserve liquid*
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard (more if you prefer a stronger flavor)
- 2 tablespoons orange juice or lemon juice
- 1/4 cup apricot juice or orange juice

. Use this thick, sweet ham glaze at the
end of the ham

and reserve some for serving.
 
Directions
  • Puree apricots in a blender.
  • In a sauce pan, combine puréed apricots, brown sugar,
    mustard, 2 tablespoons of orange or lemon juice, and 1/4 cup of reserved apricot juice. Cook mixture
    over medium low heat, stirring frequently, for 7 to 8 minutes.
  • Spread glaze on ham during the
    last 30 minutes of baking. Apply again during the last 15 minutes if desired.
  • Serve extra
    glaze as a sauce for the meat when it is served.
