Rum Crantini Crush

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup cranberries
- 2 sticks cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
- 1/2 cup rum, light
- 6 tablespoons rum, light
- 12 tablespoons cranberry juice
- 6 tablespoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed, adjust to taste
- crushed ice 
 
Directions
  • In a medium saucepan, dissolve sugar in water. Add cinnamon sticks and grated orange peel.
    Bring drink mixture to a boil. Add cranberries; continue to cook until the fresh cranberries begin
    to pop. Remove cinnamon sticks. Add 1/2 cup of rum.
  • Refrigerate mixture in a glass jar
    for a minimum of 1 hour. Strain cranberry mixture.
  • Add remaining ingredients, stir and
    chill. Fill a margarita glass with crushed ice. Pour chilled crantini mixture over crushed ice.
