 | | Directions | | In large bowl, combine chopped apples, lemon juice, chopped walnuts, and raisins. Stir all ingredients together.
Add ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, sugar and wine or grape juice.
Mix together.
Cover and refrigerate to chill for 6 to 8 hours prior to serving.
Makes approximately 4 cups.
Note: Select apples such as Gala, Fuji or Braeburn. Red wines such as Malaga, Concord grape, ruby port or similar semi-sweet to sweet varieties can be selected. As a non-alcohol option, use white grape juice. |
