Bacon Croutons

Ingredients
- 3 cups sour dough bread cut into 1/2 inch chunks
- 4 slices bacon, cut into 1/4-1/2 inch pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ground black pepper to taste 
 
Great toppings for soups or salads.
 
Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350° with the rack placed on the middle shelf.
  • Spread bread cubes and bacon on the baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle with oil and black pepper.
  • Bake, stirring a few times, until the bacon is crisp and bread cubes are golden brown.

Approximately 20 minutes.
  • Let cool.
  • Serve with potato soup or salads.
  • Store in refrigerator.
