- 1 teaspoon vanilla - 2 tablespoons butter, softened - 2 tablespoons boiling water, more if needed The flavor of peanut butter is always a winner but especially when combined with chocolate - a great way to make a brownie even more delicious! Directions BROWNIES:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare baking pan with cooking spray.
- In
large mixing bowl, cream margarine/butter with sugar and beat in eggs. Blend in chocolate and vanilla. Stir in flour, salt and nuts. Spread in prepared pan.
Bake 20-25 minutes or until just barely set in middle. Do not overbake.
Cool on rack.
PEANUT BUTTER FROSTING:
- Combine sugar, peanut butter, vanilla, and butter in a bowl. Slowly add boiling
water (reserve 1/2 tablespoon) and beat until smooth. (If needed, add boiling water a few drops at a time until smooth. May need to adjust liquid and powdered sugar for desired consistency.) Spread onto cooled brownies.
