X-cat-ik Chile Pepper Glossary Term
A type of chile that is yellow in color with a very hot flavor. They can be used to add spice to many types of dishes and are often added whole to flavor foods as they cook or added as a garnish.
Xanthan Gum Glossary Term
An ingredient added to various food products, such as ice cream, snack bars, sour cream, yogurt, or salad dressing as a thickening, stabilizing and emulsifying agent.
Xeres Vinegar Glossary Term
Wine vinegar that has the rich, nutty flavor of a fortified wine. It can be used for several purposes, such as in marinades for grilling and in salads.

A small tropical plant that bears fruit known as mountain plums which occasionally may be called wild limes.

The aged version of the Greek cheese, Myzithra. It has a strong flavor and a firm texture, which makes it a good grating cheese.
Xynotyro Cheese Glossary Term
A Greek cheese made from sheep's and goat's milk. It is an unpasteurized whey cheese with a distinctive sweet and sour flavor.
