Mixtures of various spices, oils and flavored powders are combined to create an ingredient that can be added to foods to enhance the taste. Made primarily for use in taco recipes, the Taco Seasoning is mixed with the cooked poultry or beef to provide a spicy, rich flavor for the meats that are to become stuffing for the taco shell. Taco Seasoning is made in a liquid or a powdered form, but the powder is the most common. Typically 1.25 ounces of the powdered Seasoning is added to 1 pound of meat.
