Found in regions adjacent to the Himalayan mountain range, the Himalayan Pink Salt is a natural, coarse-grained salt containing a high concentration of minerals. The pink coloring of this salt is derived from the mineral components held within each crystal. Harvested from ancient sea beds within the foothills of the Himalayan mountains, this salt provides a seasoning that is rich with over 60 different minerals including the key nutrients of calcium, magnesium, potassium, copper, and iron. In centuries past, this salt has been a common preservative for meats, poultry and fish. Today, the Himalayan Pink Salt is cherished for it pure, unrefined qualities lacking in additives while offering a rich, tangy flavor for a variety of foods.
