A sweet quick bread usually prepared with all-purpose flour and flavored with pumpkin and a variety of spices including, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. There are many recipes and variations for this popular bread. Many variations include chopped nuts and/or dried fruits, such as raisins. Pumpkin bread is served as a dessert bread or as an accompaniment for a meal.
