Corn Grilling Basket

Made from steel that is formed into half-round holders, this type of utensil is designed to roast multiple ears of corn on the cob on grills and open fires. Some Corn Grilling Baskets are made so the round wired holders can be adjusted to fit the diameter of various sizes of corn.

To roast the corn using a Corn Grilling Basket, lightly peel back the green outer husks without removing them. Detach the silk from each ear and wash the corn to remove any excess debris. Bring each outer husk back to its original position to cover the corn and place the ear into the basket holder. With charcoal, fire coals or on a gas grill, place the corn over medium heat and allow the corn to cook for 10 to 15 minutes on one side. Then turn the Corn Grilling Basket over to continue cooking the corn on the other side for the same amount of time. Corn can be cooked on grills without using a Corn Grilling Basket, but this utensil simplifies the process.
