Similar in appearance to an enlarged oyster cracker, this type of cracker is served after tasting different varieties of wine. Wine Crackers are most often eaten when several types of wine are being tasted, enabling the person sampling the wine to cleanse their palate after each tasting. The mild flavored cracker, has a slightly sweet taste with lemon and vanilla overtones, making it a favorite cracker serving to enhance the distinct flavors of each wine selected after being consumed. In addition to cleansing the palate, the Wine Cracker can also be served as an appetizer, a snack, or a mildly sweet dessert cracker.
