Similar to sweet potato chips, the Beet Chip is made from beets as a snack product similar to traditional potato chips. Produced as a healthier alternative to some types of potato chips, the Beet Chip is manufactured by slicing or extruding beets into chip shapes that are oval or curved after which they are baked or fried so they become crispy-textured. Beet chips can be served as an appetizer with other vegetable chips or as an accompaniment to various foods such as turkey and chicken chili, or soups and stews.
