A sweet melon, native to Asia that is a hybrid of the honeydew melon. Small in size, this melon typically weighs approximately a pound and measures 4 to 6 inches in diameter when harvested. Covered in a smooth, cream colored skin that becomes yellow mottled when fully matured, the Sprite melon has a crisp textured white to pale green flesh, that is very similar to an apple or a firm pear. The sweet flavor of this melon provides the taste that is somewhat like honeydew combined with a pear.
