A minor red grape varietal, primarily found in Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines produced in the Rhône region of France. More notably known as "Vaccarèse". Vaccarèse is known as Camarèse in the village of Chusclan. Considered a relative of Cinsault.
Characteristics: Most often used as a blending agent to create floral, tannic wines.
