|
A large colorful melon that has a bright yellow outer skin with a pale green to white inner flesh. This melon has a slightly sweet flavor provided by the aromatic flesh. Select melons that are firm with a slight amount of softness at the stem end. It may be difficult to determine those of higher quality by the exterior appearance, so be cautious in selecting. Green colored melons still need to ripen while soft spots or rust and discolored spots indicate poor quality. This melon is also referred to as a Juan Canary melon.
