Yakitori

A Japanese dish that consists of pieces of chicken breast that are marinated, skewered, and grilled. The marinade is usually prepared with soy sauce, sugar, garlic, ginger, and sometimes rice wine. Yakitori is often served as an hors d'oeuvre or appetizer. It is one of several types of dishes that are called yakimono, which in Japan refers to meats that are marinated and grilled using this method.
