Gaufrette

A thin fan-shaped wafer that has a slightly sweet flavor. It is baked on a special iron, which is much like a waffle iron. After it is cooked on the iron, the gaufrette is sometimes shaped into a cone before it has a chance to cool and can then be used as an ice cream cone. It is also served with other types of ice cream or mousse desserts.
