"I had some of my grandkids for supper the other night and since it was Cinco de Mayo I made a Mexican casserole for them. They loved it. They liked it with crunched up Doritos on top. Each of them had two helpings. It was creamy and had great flavor."
"I used some of our leftover Easter ham to make these for our supper last night. I wished I would have had a little firmer bread to use but they still were pretty tasty. I loved the crunch the crushed cornflakes gave the sandwich. I think I will try them again."
"I was going to make this cake for Valentine's Day but didn't get it accomplished so I made it this last weekend instead. I loved it and so did the other adults but the grandkids didn't care for the pecans in it. If it didn't have the pecans in it the kids would have liked the cherry cake and the creamy frosting."
"I make this every time I make pie. I always make homemade crust but it would be good with a refrigerated pie crust also. If you throw your leftover pie crust scraps away, you are missing out on a special treat that is so easy to make."
"This recipe is just like my mom's. I made this pie this weekend and we loved it. This has always been one of my favorite pie recipes. If you try this recipe you will never make banana cream pie with a boxed pudding mix again!"
"Yummy salad! Everything tasted great together. Loved the different textures from the lettuce, fruit and cashews. The sweet dressing was perfect with it."
"I loved this beer bread and so did my grandson. I couldn't get it cut fast enough for him. It is so simple to make and goes great with chili, soups and many casseroles. I am sure I will make this bread a lot in the future."
"These rhubarb bars are so delicious. I have made them twice this spring already. The recipe creates a layer of custard mixed with the rhubarb that is so yummy and the frosting is light and creamy, perfect for these bars. You just have to try them if you enjoy things baked with rhubarb."
"These muffins took a little extra time to make but well worth it! Great banana bread flavor with an extra moist cream cheese layer. We had coffee company and everyone went home with the recipe."
"Great soup! Rich and thick with lots of flavor. Perfect for helping you warm up during this cold winter we have been having. It was just as delicious warmed up for leftovers the next day."
"This was a very heavy dense banana bread. It had great taste and is a good recipe for those who want a recipe using wheat flour. It was difficult to get it done enough in the center without getting the bottom too done. I suggest baking it in two smaller loaves rather than one larger loaf."
"I made this for my grandkids. They loved it and their parents ate their share too! I think it would also be good using Golden Grahams in place of the other cereal."
"These bars were ok but I thought they had a funny texture. They were very moist and one of my grandsons really liked them but I was not a big fan. Probably won't make them again."
"My daughter had a small but very nice wedding this last weekend. I made these to serve at the reception and they turned out great. I also used the lighter version and topped them with blueberries and raspberries. Everyone really enjoyed them."
"Our raspberries are coming to an end so I thought I would make a raspberry pie before I don't have enough. This recipe looked pretty good and was very similar to my rhubarb pie recipe so I thought I would give it a try. It turned out so good."
"My husband liked these with the barbecue sauce but I prefer my without it. I tried this recipe for a little something different from just grilling our pork steaks. I will make them again some time for a change from plain pork steaks."
"I loved the combination of blueberries, coconut and white chocolate chips in these cookies. They were pretty soft so next time I think I will try baking them a little longer. Not sure if that will firm them up a little or not. I will make them again."
"I made these a couple of weeks ago and we really liked them. We are having a cookout for Memorial Day and I thought they would be perfect for that. The only thing I would change is to maybe add two vanilla wafers instead of one. Or I might make up a graham cracker crust and use that in the bottom of each instead of the wafers."
"Do you usually make ham and bean soup from your ham bone after Easter? Well I usually do but this year I just cut off all the ham left on the bone and use a little of the other ham I had and made this potato and ham soup. It was great! Nice change from the usual ham and bean soup. You will have to try it!"
"I thought this recipe was great. We love rice and coconut so having them both in one recipe was great. They provided great texture and sweetness to this salad. I am going to make this for Easter this year."
"This was an excellent chicken noodle soup recipe. It had great flavor. I took some into my Dad and he even said how good it was. That was quite a compliment coming from him because he was use to eating my Mom's and she made great chicken noodle soup."
"A friend of mine made this and brought it on a weekend trip that we went on. It was great. I made it for my kids when I got home and the only ones that didn't like it were the ones that don't like green olives. I love the little bit of saltiness the olives give this dip."
"We always get some dried beef when we get meat from the locker because we like chipped beef on toast but was looking for another recipe to use it in. I tried this one and it was pretty good. It was a little different with the eggs in it but good. My husband liked it but said he liked chipped beef on toast better. This was a quick casserole to make up."
"I mostly made this for my husband because he likes chunks of tomatoes, onions and peppers in his chili but I don't. He loved the chunks of vegetables but said it could have been spicier. Next time I think I will add a few jalapeno peppers to it."
"I made this yesterday and plugged it in before I left for work. When I got home it was done and ready to eat. It was great and we got to eat early. This makes a perfect weeknight meal after working all day."
"I think this would have been better if I had used Granny Smith apples. It turned out kind of dry and I think the Granny Smiths would make it a little juicier and a little more flavorful."
"Delicious! This dessert was so easy and I loved it. It would be a perfect dessert in the summer because it is cool and refreshing. I have a feeling I will be making this dessert a lot."
"I just came across this recipe on this site and remembered when I made them last year. I baked them and then had my grandkids come to help decorate. They had a blast! It was messy but fun to watch them."
"Good bars. They are kind of a jazzed up version of rice krispie bars. The bits of Snickers bars that are added at the end are a nice chewy addition. I added 5 candy bars instead of 4."
"A good recipe to make with some of my garden vegetables. Next time I think I will cut back on the red wine vinegar a little, maybe only add 1 tablespoon."
"Very good! I love coconut so it is hard to find a coconut dessert I don't like but this was something different from any other recipes I have tried. I cheated though and used Cool Whip rather than whipping my own cream."
"Our kids were home for the weekend so I wanted to make something extra special for Sunday morning so I tried this French toast recipe. It was delicious! The best part was I was able to prepare it the night before and just pop it in the oven on Sunday morning."
"Fun idea! This was easy to make and was a big hit at a 4th of July gathering we had at our house this weekend. The kids loved it and the adults were impressed too!"
"We make ice cream every once in a while for the grandkids but I had never made it with custard base. We tried this recipe this last weekend and it was great. It didn't take long before they had it all ate up."
"Well worth the work to make this bread. It was delicious and made a very large loaf. This bread would be great for sandwiches, dips, soups and stews, or just as a side for any meal."
"I needed something quick last night to serve with a meatloaf and baked potatoes. I tried this recipe because I thought it looked like it was easy to make. It was very simple to make but after I had it all mixed together I felt it didn't have enough corn in it so I added a second can of regular corn. That helped a lot. Otherwise it was very tasty. I would make it again (with an extra can of regular corn)."
"My husband loves brats on the grill. When I saw this recipe I thought I would really surprise him with the grilled onions. I don't like onions so I hardly ever serve them. He couldn't believe I even thought to serve them and having them grilled made it even more of a surprise. Thanks for the idea!"
"This recipe looked interesting with the hard boiled eggs in it. I had to try it because I have several grandkids that love eggs. It was pretty tasty - the kids liked it too."
"I had never made a plain white cake from scratch so I thought I would try it. This recipe was very good. The cake was moist and more dense than a cake mix. I frosted it with a buttercream frosting."
"Similar to my own banana bread recipe and like mine, the bread tends to get a little dry because of having to cook the bread long enough to get the top done. Wish I knew how to keep this from happening. I would welcome suggestions if anyone has any."
"I did as instructed by the recipe and after the potatoes had been in the oven for 10 minutes the butter and parmesan cheese were burning. I took them out and scraped off the butter and parmesan cheese and just put the potatoes back in at a lower temperature. Then I sprinkled the well browned buttery parmesan cheese over the potatoes at the end of the cooking time and put them back in the oven just to heat the cheese up. They tasted alright but weren't very pretty!"
"Finally reviewing my Christmas recipes. I made this one to take to my sister's for Christmas because I thought the kids would like it. It was quick and easy to make. It was good but just a little too much whipped cream and marshmallows for me. Good salad for kids."
"We had friends over for dinner just before Christmas and I served this dessert. Everyone loved it. It was a little bit of work to make it but well worth it when everyone enjoyed so much."
"I made this Tetrazzini after Thanksgiving and it was kind of dry so when I made it yesterday I added a can of cream of mushroom soup. That helped a lot."
"This was one of the best corn casseroles I have made. My whole family really liked it. The cheese was a nice addition but the jalapeno peppers were what really gave it a great flavor."
"I made these a couple of months ago with my fresh rhubarb and I remember how delicious they were. They soft and tasted great. Wish I had some fresh rhubarb now to make them again, maybe next year!"
"I double this recipe when I know the grandkids are coming and it is usually all gone before they leave. If I have nuts on hand I will make one loaf with and one without for the kids."
