Day 1

Dinner:

Herb Roasted Chicken

Thyme, sage and parsley spruce up this whole chicken and the lemon adds a fresh quality. Serve it with roasted or mashed potatoes.
Creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes

You'll never make creamier potatoes than this recipe right here. The garlic doesn't overpower. For an even creamier side dish, try heating the half 'n half over low heat before adding to the potatoes.
Golden Crusted Brussels sprouts

Parmesan crusted on these Brussel sprouts is the perfect combination. I loved the color these got on them as they caramelized in the pan.
Mandarin Ring Mold and Fruit Salad

Total preparation time of 20-30 minutes does not include chilling the mold for several hours or overnight.
Honey Bun Cake

Sweet swirl of cinnamon in the middle of this cake. Topped off with a sweet sugar glaze and you have a coffee cake fit for guests.

Day 2

Dinner:

Beefy Bean Chili

Thick and tasty chili loaded with chili beans and sweetened slightly with brown sugar. Throw together and simmer for an hour; then set down and enjoy the hearty flavor.
Simple Corn Bread

A quick corn bread that is baked up in 20 minutes. The melted butter keeps it moist and the corn meal sweetens it right up. Enjoy!

Notes: You can try this Tossed Salad recipe or any simple tossed lettuce salad would go well with this meal.

Multigrain Bread

Although it takes about 3 hours to produce home made bread (and much of this is rising time), it is not difficult--and the results are well worth the time spent. Makes one large or two small loaves.

Day 4

Dinner:

Pizza Burger

Rice Pilaf with Pasta

Tired of plain white rice? Try this homemade rice pilaf. Browning the pasta adds a nuttly flavor and the broth flavors it even more. This is a great side dish for any meal.
Broccoli Bake 9

Cheesy broccoli with a crunchy topping. Your kids will eat all their vegetables and ask for more. Add some cauliflower with the broccoli for a different mix.

Day 6

Dinner:

Grilled Tuna Panini

grilled tuna panini

With the first bite of this unique tuna sandwich, you will agree that it is one of the best sandwich recipes you've ever tasted. It is full of flavor with its mixture of radishes, pickles, and mayonnaise; along with cucumbers, carrots, parsley, onions and Swiss cheese, housed between Panini slices and served warm from the grill.
Spicy Tomato Soup
