What's for Dinner, Thurs. Nov. 29?

I have to get groceries tonight so I'm looking for some good ideas for supper tonight that will be easy to throw together when I get home.

Oh, that's the worst! I have done that by completely forgetting to turn the crock pot on. My husband said the chicken I threw in last night with mushrooms and carrots was very good - the dry mushroom soup mix gave it deep, almost wine flavor. I need something quick for tonight so I think I'm going to make a stromboli sandwich with some refrigerated pizza dough I have.

My pork chops last night didn't work out! I got home expecting a great smell when I walked in the door. Instead the power on the crock pot was flashing and everything was cold and not done. Apparently our electricity was out for a bit (all clocks were flashing) so the crock pot was shut off. Ugh! what a waste of good food! I threw it all out, not knowing if it was safe or not.

This could also be done with flour tortillas, too, right? And I wouldn't think you'd have the issues with breakage like with the corn tortillas.

Do you have suggestions for freezing this? Would it be ok to split the recipe and freeze half? Should the frozen half be thawed before cooking? Should it be frozen after cooking? If so, how do you suggest reheating.
