Football Recipe Ideas please!!
Posted: 11/03/2007 3:06:07 PM
Hey everyone. We have people over every Sunday for football. I'm looking for some new appetizer ideas. We always basically have appetizers and snacks. I'm tired of putting out the same old stuff. Any ideas?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Lynn

There are plenty of recipes that you can try but personally I like are - 1. Summer Vegetable Pasta Salad 2. Asiago Crusted Chicken with Tomato & Basil 3. Hearty Chipotle Chili 4. Rosemary Garlic Rubbed Steak 5. Smokey Mac & Cheese Pasta Source - http://www.knorr.com/recipes

I've made a variation of these. A couple of different ways actually. If you don't like the parm cheese, substitute finely shredded cheddar for it. I make mine that way. I've also made them by combining cream cheese, cheddar, garlic powder and bacon bits, stuff the peppers then press into seasoned bread crumbs and bake til golden.

I want to try the bacon wrapped jalapeno's this weekend. Has anyone made them? I would leave out the parmesan cheese though, I'm not a fan of that.

Thank you very much. That sounds pretty interesting. I'll make it this Sunday, I'm also making the bacon wrapped smokies. I've made them a bunch of times and everyone loves them, especially my 8 year old son. I really appreciate all of your help!! Any more ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!

I agree. I too have made this for my husband, who I swear is the pickiest man on the planet and he gobbled it right up. It is very addicting!!!

I swear by the Chicken Noodle Soup Dip, it's seems odd but I haven't met anyone who didn't think it was addicting! http://www.recipetips.com/recipe-cards/t--2909/chicken-noodle-dip.asp

Hi there - the bacon wrapped smokies are terrific! They are really different from an ordinary smokies - these have a whole different flavor. I don't quite know how to describe them to you but my family and friends love them!

Has anyone dehydrated tomatoes before? I was wondering how to dry them. Do you just dry the tomatoes or do you have to season them or do anything special to them before you dry them? I have had them before and they are great to snack on.
