Please do not stuff a turkey for the deep-fry method. The point of frying the bird is allowing the oil into the cavity as well as the outside; this is how you sear in the moisture and cook the bird quickly. By stuffing the turkey, I don't know how the bird will get thoroughly cooked without the outside being burnt black. If someone has succeeded with stuffing a deep-fried turkey. please let me know how!!

Hello Roxanne! RecipeTips has a detailed article on how to deep-fry a turkey:
http://www.recipetips.com/kitchen-tips/t--1198/how-to-deepfry-a-whole-turkey.asp
In the Tips section of the article our researchers do not suggest adding stuffing to the turkey prior to deep-frying, it may not cook properly.
I hope this is helpful. Welcome to RecipeTips.com!

This could also be done with flour tortillas, too, right? And I wouldn't think you'd have the issues with breakage like with the corn tortillas.

Do you have suggestions for freezing this? Would it be ok to split the recipe and freeze half? Should the frozen half be thawed before cooking? Should it be frozen after cooking? If so, how do you suggest reheating.
